Here at the Dancing Women Kitchen, there are many reasons why I love my job of cooking healthy and nutritious meals for my clients.  The one that makes my day, though, is knowing that we help seniors stay independent.  One of our clients just celebrated her 95th birthday!  She loves the variety of food on our menu (especially the cookies) and looks forward to the visit with our delivery driver every week.

Another of our seniors just sent this email:

“Hi Vickie, I just wanted to tell you how attractive your food has been lately.  The salads and veggies are especially colorful.  Not only tasty but beautiful.  I tried the South of the Border wrap and it was delicious.  The Olivetta Rolls are great.  The snap peas in the Coconut Tofu were so fresh and crunchy, a good combination.  You are doing such a good job of providing me with healthy meals.  Thank you!!!!”

 If only more of the elder community would consider healthy home delivery options instead of frozen entrees from grocery stores jam packed with sodium and trans fat.  Perhaps they would stay healthy in mind and body a little longer.  Bottom line, eat healthy food, get moderate exercise, drink plenty of water, stay independent!
