Just the other day, I had a new customer ask me “What would you order off your menu?”  My immediate answer was “Good question!”  I don’t think I’ve ever heard that question before, and it’s such an important one!  I mean, if I steer away from certain menu items, well that’s a bad sign, don’t you think?

Truth be told, I do steer away from some items, but only because I’m a vegetarian.  If I did eat animal protein, I would certainly opt for our chicken dishes.  They are very moist and flavorful, if I do say so myself.  But in pondering the question, I thought of the following scenarios that just may help future orderers.  Here are my picks for this coming week, July week 3:

If I was single, I’d order one of the Tofu Shawarmas.  The combination of the slightly spicy sauce with the cooling cucumber/tomatoes and brown rice is lovely.  The amount of food is right for the money, too.  One order will do me just fine for two meals.  I’d order a Green Goddess Salad with the Greek Tamari Dressing, good enough for two side salads.  I’d order one each of the Baked Chicken Tofu over Roasted Veggies and the Basmati Fresh Herb Bowl.  That’d take care of two lunches.  I’d definitely order one each of the Olivetta Rolls (they’re lovely) and Chocolate Apricot Espresso Cookies (they’re addicting).  And I’d most likely throw in a couple Anytime Burritos because I love them so much.  They last me from morning to early afternoon!

If I was a couple, I’d pretty much order the same but up the quantity by one.  I would then hide the extra order of Chocolate Apricot Espresso Cookies from my significant other!  That’s just the way I am.

If I had kids, I’d throw in an order of Seasonal Veggies.  They’re great for snacking in the car.  I’d also order the Egg and Quinoa Salad Bowl.  Kids love it!

So there you have it.  Vickie’s Picks for this week.  Bon Appetit!
